The Kind of Stuff my Sisters Enjoy: Paula Abdul
This song reminds me of Lindsay, mostly because of how Paula dresses (besides the low cut dress of course). She is like a Jewish Lindsay. Also the ponytail on the top of the head was something Lindsay used to do (like when Paula is dancing on the trash cans). That is the Lindsay Brett fell in love with.
My Mom's Artist (that I secretly enjoy): Linda Ronstadt
I discovered that this was my favorite Linda Ronstadt song recently when I was shopping at Smith's and realized that I knew every word. The intro to this video moves me, I watched the first 17 seconds several times over. I get lost in her piercing stare at the camera --and I see her portrait up with all the aunts and uncles at Grandma's house (like the Will Ferrell one at the bottom of the page). I feel that she really likes mashed potatoes and steak.
Well that's the first installment of the music reviews, now I have to get back to reading in my sociology book.

Too funny. I likewise didn't realize how close Linda and I were until this last Christmas my sister-in-law brought home a mix Christmas CD from the store and couldn't tell who the artist was singing a certain Christmas tune, I took one listen and declared it was Linda Rondstat to which all else in the room replied that they had never heard of her before. They checked the CD specs and it was my long lost sister Linda indeed. I can recognize her voice anywhere.
Very funny Tyler. I'm not seeing how this makes you more cultured than us though, that's a hard thing to accomplish. My personal Linda Rondstat favorite is "Tracks of my Tears" I do own the greatest hits CD, and there are many good songs on it if you don't already have them all on your iPod.
All I can say is, you never know what your kids are paying attention to. Be careful what music you are playing while they are growing up. So, we did like Linda Rondstat at one time, but I haven't heard her for years.
I loved Linda(I also have the greatest hits CD) but you got my number on the Paula Abdul hit...Brett is a lucky man I must say. You ought to google Peaches and Herb and see what memories that might unearth...also Captain and Tenille, Neil Diamond...ah the memories!
